Responsibilities:         The successful candidate will be expected to teach analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis, physical chemistry, along with introductory chemistry and non-majors science courses.  The successful candidate will manage the Shared Instrumentation Resource Laboratory. Other responsibilities include research, professional activity, and service to both the University and community.  Involving students in research activities is highly desirable.  The faculty member will be required to evaluate and use current technology in courses and to maintain a positive educational relationship with students and colleagues. Other duties include academic advising, curriculum development, and committee service and performing other duties required to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications:    Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or higher in chemistry or biochemistry with documented proof of expertise; a Doctorate is preferred.  Course development and curriculum design experience as well as evidence of a commitment to working with under-prepared students are also desirable. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach with technology.  Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills are also desirable.
