The Department of Chemistry at the University of Georgia is seeking applications for a
full-time, non-tenure track, Lecturer position to begin August 1, 2022. An earned
doctorate degree in Chemistry is required. The lecturer will teach in the department’s
first and second-year programs and participate in service to the Department, School,
and University. The position is a renewable 10-month appointment with the ability to
work toward promotion to a senior lecturer.
The successful applicant will have a background teaching in both large and small
classes utilizing active learning pedagogy. Competitive applicants will have a
background working with diverse student populations. Excellent oral, written and
interpersonal communication skills are essential. Strong applicants will have the ability
to utilize technology in teaching and/or implementing online courses.
