Chemist, quality control

AstaTech Inc. is an established chemistry contract research company, located in Bristol, PA. We are hiring chemists,

the candidate will coordinate daily activities with project management, analytical chemistry/QC.

Conduct routine analyses in an accurate and efficient manner, Perform analytical testing of chemical products using common analytical techniques, such as but not limited to HPLC, GC, NMR, Mass spectroscopy.

Collect and review QC data, ensure promptly and quality delivery of products.

Maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical chemical instrument.

Provide analytical support for organic synthetic chemists.

Provide general technical support, prepare quality documents per customer request.

Internal and external communications.

Follow the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) safety regulations.

Take on other tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATION:  

Bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, chemistry or related discipline with minimum 1 year experience, or master’s degree with 0-3 years’ experience in analytical or organic chemistry field.

Hands-on experience with common analytical chemistry techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR and mass spectroscopy, etc.

Experience in characterization of structure and determination of purity of chemical compounds.

Strong technical problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Must be able to work in a cross-functional environment interacting with other internal departments and external vendors.
