Trinity University, a primarily undergraduate institution in San Antonio, TX, invites applications for two tenure-track assistant professor positions in the Department of Chemistry. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry (or similar chemical science degree) and postdoctoral experience. The department aims to fill two positions. One with teaching responsibilities in organic chemistry courses and labs. Another with teaching responsibilities in physical OR analytical chemistry courses and labs.  With each, lecture and laboratory courses in other chemistry-related sub-disciplines (including general chemistry), and courses in the University Pathways curriculum will be expected. This position carries the expectation of developing a sustainable research program involving undergraduate students in any field of the chemical sciences, which directly supports the goal of experiential learning found in the University Strategic Plan. The successful applicants will have demonstrated strong potential to contribute to teaching, research, engagement in the university and department, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. A complete application will include:  Cover letter, Curriculum Vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, research plan, diversity statement, three letters of recommendation, and (unofficial) copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Review of applications will begin September 15 and will continue until the positions are filled.
