Florida International University in Miami, Florida is seeking a Teaching Assistant Professor Position in Forensic Chemistry for the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the School of Integrated Science and Humanity in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education. Duties and responsibilities include the following: (1) Teaching forensic science classes at the Undergraduate and Graduate level; (2) Teaching specialized forensic science classes at the Undergraduate and Graduate level; (3) Coordinating the forensic labs; (4) Serving as Director of the Professional Science Master’s in Forensic Science, which includes but is not limited to, recruiting students, evaluating applications, contacting with the program faculty, and assisting with general administration of the program; and (5) Serving as a Member of Department-wide and/or University-wide committees.
Position requires a PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field and prior teaching experience and/or experience in the field of forensic science is preferred.
