We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow/research associate for a two-year appointment. The candidate will be part of the Integrated Atmospheric Deposition Network (IADN) team but will also be involved in other related projects including one funded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The candidate will focus on the broader goal of advancing the understanding of PFAS fate and transport in the Great Lakes region and beyond. The candidate will also contribute to expanding the research directions of the group by including new target chemicals, exploring new media for environmental monitoring, or exploring new research questions (i.e., chemical approaches to microplastics).

Qualifications: The minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in environmental or analytical chemistry or environmental engineering at time of appointment. A Master’s degree in similar areas will be considered for a candidate with adequate experience. The successful candidate should have demonstrated an ability to work independently and in a large research group. Organizational proficiency and strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Experience in organic extraction and chemical analyses using mass spectrometry, in the analysis of persistent organic pollutants, and in data analysis is desired.

Salary: The salary is commensurate with qualifications.
