Job Details
The Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science (APMS) at Northern Arizona University is seeking applicants for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor rank. Outstanding candidates in all areas of Physics will be considered but areas of interest include Computational Materials and Biophysics. The successful candidate is expected to establish a well-funded, competitive research program; engage in high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching; mentor graduate and undergraduate students; contribute to undergraduate and graduate curriculum development; contribute to professional service; and demonstrate a commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) through their research and scholastic activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Sc.D.) conferred in Physics, Materials Science, or closely related field at the time of appointment.
