The Department of Chemistry at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for a 1-year sabbatical replacement for the 2022-23 academic year. The successful candidate will primarily teach in the general chemistry sequence.  Submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy, and academic transcripts to the attention of Dr. Carolyn Weinreb, Department Chair, Chemistry via the college website at Three letters of recommendation are required and should be submitted in PDF format via email to the department faculty assistant, Karen Boivin ( Applications will be reviewed beginning January 20, 2022 and must be complete by January 31, 2022 for full consideration.

A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry or forensic science is required. Current students who are ABD may apply, although the Ph.D. must be in hand by the date of appointment, August 2022.  Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Some teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.

Founded in 1889, Saint Anselm College is an undergraduate, liberal arts college housed on a 350+ acre, residential campus, with a student body of approximately 2,000 students, 155 full-time faculty in addition to the monks of Saint Anselm Abbey.  The college is located in the vibrant and diverse city of Manchester, NH, where 76 languages are spoken in the schools.  The college is less than an hour from sandy beaches, the White Mountain National Forest, the Lakes Region, and metropolitan Boston.
