GEORGIA COLLEGE

The Georgia College (Milledgeville, GA) Department of Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy seeks an Analytical Chemist to be hired at the rank of assistant professor.  This position will teach general and analytical chemistry classes. Expertise in forensic chemistry is the preferred focus. Teaching duties will include General Chemistry, Quantitative Analysis, Instrumental Analysis, and Advanced Analytical Chemistry, and Forensic Chemistry courses. The successful candidate will be expected to create and maintain an experimental laboratory appropriate for undergraduate research and support student success. Excellence in teaching, scholarly activity and university/community service are requirements for promotion and tenure.  The candidate will also work towards obtaining/maintaining forensic chemistry accreditation.
