Job Details
Position Summary. The Department of Chemistry at Gettysburg College invites applications for two one-year, full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor positions beginning August 2022. The candidates will contribute to courses and laboratories in General Chemistry and Biochemistry. The teaching load for these positions will be three courses each semester, where both lecture and laboratory sections count as one course each.
Qualifications. We seek individuals who have a genuine interest in teaching within the liberal arts. Candidates must have a doctorate (or be ABD) in chemistry or a closely allied field. College-level teaching experience is preferred. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate through their teaching that they can contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of our community.
