Description:  Scientist/Engineer to participate in and/or lead a wide range of research and product development efforts ranging from military chemical defense to pollution abatement to natural gas purification.  Individual will have excellent writing and presentation skills, and a fundamental understanding of chemical reaction, adsorption and material science.  Duties range from managing/training technical personnel to proposal writing to innovation and product development.   A love of science, ability to innovate and a desire to grow as a professional strongly desired.  

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Strong record of research accomplishments and transitioning this research into successful products.
  • Project management with ability to interface with technical staff and executive leadership.
  • Extensive research experience with adsorption and catalytic media. 
  • Manage the efficient and effective coordination of engineering design, procurement, and manufacturing to achieve project/program objectives.
  • Deliver projects/programs on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate staff to execute all aspects of DOD contracts, including design, production, and testing. Understand all aspects of the military acquisition process, including First Article Testing, Integrated Logistics Support, Tech manual development and all aspects of product sustainment.
  • Understand and adhere to all government DFARs and FARs.
  • Work closely with Operations and Engineering to develop project schedules.
  • Manage available staff/ resources to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.  Provide regular project(s) status updates, including compliance to budget.
  • Strong experience in writing and winning federal proposals/grants from agencies such as NIH, DoD, USDA, DOE (e.g. SBIR, BAA, R21), and/or a history of revenue generation from industrial customers.
  • Support Guild’s Vision, Mission, and Principles, as well as all Company Safety and Quality Standards.

Education/Experience:

  • PhD. In Chemical Engineering  
  • Three to five years of experience as Program Manager.
  • Technical report writing capability is required. 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
