The Technical Specialist provides support to teaching labs. Responsible for the general operation, preparation, and maintenance of designated laboratory courses at one of our North County Campuses (Arundel Mills or Glen Burnie Town Center). Maintains supplies, equipment, and lab instrumentation; prepares reagents; maintains the physical environment of the labs; and ensures compliance with established safety practices and hazardous waste procedures. Lab courses may include one or more of the following General Chemistry, General Biology, General Physical Science and Anatomy and Physiology. Actual assignments will depend on qualifications and the needs of the department.  This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Science and will work closely with the other North County Technical Specialist and the other lab managers. Occasional travel to the Arnold Campus for training, meetings, or otherwise may be required.
