Job Details

Wagner College, a private comprehensive college, invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in chemistry, starting Fall 2022. Located in Staten Island and overlooking the Manhattan skyline, Wagner College is a private, non-sectarian 80% residential college of 1800 traditional-aged undergraduates and 300 graduate students in selected professional programs. The college has been widely recognized for its innovative curriculum, The Wagner Plan for the Practical Liberal Arts, which integrates a core curriculum, required learning communities, experiential learning, diversity, and civic education, as cited by Time magazine, U.S. News & World Report, the educational media and several higher education associations. Candidates must have expertise in chemistry, broadly defined. The successful candidate must have a completed Ph.D. by the start of the position. The individual will teach undergraduate courses in chemistry, including General Chemistry I and II or Organic Chemistry I or II. There will also be opportunities for the candidate to teach upper-level chemistry electives in their area of expertise. If interested, please submit chemistrysearch@wagner.edu.
