Job Details

The University of the South seeks TWO Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry for full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track term appointments beginning in August 2022. Area of concentration is open. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in general chemistry and in the candidate’s specialty. For one position, physical chemistry knowledge and capabilities is a significant plus.  An earned doctorate in chemistry is required. ABD candidates will be considered, especially those that will be completing their degree before the start date. 

We are seeking candidates with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. A Ph.D. is highly preferred, but ABD applicants will be considered.
