The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Lecturer to contribute to the research and education effort of the School of Chemistry within the Faculty of Science. In this position, the Senior Lecturer will lead a research program in Chemistry, with the ultimate focus being to refine and enhance the knowledge of chemistry and science. The research program should contribute to the School’s Strategic Priorities and the University’s long term vision as outlined in the Impact 2030 statement.
The Senior Lecturer will lead and participate in innovative teaching programmes, including the development and delivery of course material, lectures, e-learning, and group teaching, undertake year level and unit coordination, assessment, and student consultation, and supervision and mentoring of Postdoctoral Fellows and Early Career Researchers. The Senior Lecturer will engage in collaboration with other research groups, establish a strong independent programme of research and apply for National Competitive Research Grants.
The successful candidate will have a doctoral qualification in Chemistry or equivalent accreditation, experience in developing course material and the ability to develop an independent research program. The Senior Lecturer will have strong interpersonal skills and well-developed ability to convey information in both teaching and research.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
