Postdoctoral Position in Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry

One postdoctoral associate position is immediately available at the Center for Drug Design at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities to study small molecules as inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 Nsp14 methyltransferase. The work will involve the design, synthesis and characterization of structurally diverse molecules. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in organic or medicinal chemistry with a strong background in organic synthesis. Good working knowledge of analytical methods including NMR, HPLC and LC-MS is required. Previous experience with nucleoside synthesis or molecular docking is a plus. Successful candidates should also be able to work within a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of synthetic chemist, biochemist, and virologist.
