The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Texas Tech University invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level; however, other ranks will also be considered. The positions will be in the areas of Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry, broadly defined. For all three positions, a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field is required, with postdoctoral experience preferred. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent, well-funded research program and have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding or who have clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Located in Lubbock, Texas, Texas Tech University is a state-supported National Research University Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) with a Carnegie R1: Highest Research Activity classification.
