The Chemistry Department at Ursinus College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track, two-year renewable faculty position beginning Fall 2023. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or chemical education and demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the multi-section two-semester organic chemistry laboratory sequence as well as teaching introductory and/or advanced chemistry courses appropriate to the candidate’s expertise. Opportunities exist for interested candidates to pursue activities in chemical education and/or engage undergraduate students in research. Additional information about the position can be found at www.ursinus.edu/jobs.

The Ursinus College faculty is a diverse community of teacher-scholars dedicated to providing transformative experiences for a diverse student body in a highly reflective process embedded in our core curriculum. Therefore, applicants are requested to submit a cover letter, CV, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and separate statements reflecting on (1) teaching experience, practices, and goals and (2) experience and commitment in support of an inclusive community. All applications must be submitted electronically to apply.interfolio.com/110661. Queries may be sent to the Search Committee Chair at chemchair@ursinus.edu. Full consideration will be given to applications received by September 30, 2022, but review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
