ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION - PLANT DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGY

The Department of Plant Biology, College of Biological Sciences, at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the broadly defined field of Plant Developmental Biology. This position is intended for early career scientists who are carrying out leading-edge research in the field of Plant Developmental Biology. The Department seeks a highly collaborative scientist who will capitalize on a broad range of questions pursued in the Department from the molecular and cellular levels to the whole plant.
Candidates should have a Ph. D. in Plant Biology, Biological Science, Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, or a related discipline, with significant post-doctoral research experience in the field of plant developmental biology and have an outstanding record of research achievement. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent program with emphasis on topics related to plant developmental biology. In addition, the Department of Plant Biology places a high priority on teaching and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching and service missions of the Department and the College.
