Assistant/Associate Professor

The University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. A PhD degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or related discipline and relevant postdoctoral experience are required. Successful candidates will have the potential to develop and maintain a strong, extramurally funded, independent research program. Priority will be given to research in synthetic medicinal chemistry. The new faculty member is expected to establish strong collaborations with the UIC faculty and play an active role in UICentre - University of Illinois Drug Discovery Center centre.pharmacy.uic.edu. Teaching in the professional and graduate programs of the College of Pharmacy is required.
