The Department of Chemistry at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor (TAP) in Organic Chemistry to begin January 2023. The department desires an applicant who can develop and teach in the organic chemistry program, supervise graduate student teaching assistants and help with assessments. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry or a closely related field. Candidates will be expected to support the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds, integrate multicultural experiences into instructional methods and demonstrate a commitment to engaging communities underrepresented in academia. Duties: CHEM 3112 (majors organic lab) and CHEM 3012 (non-majors organic lab) in the Spring and Fall (currently ~ 800 students/year).  The TAP is also expected to teach CHEM 3013 (non-majors lecture, ~210 students) once per year. We strongly encourage the TAP to develop innovative laboratory methods/materials and strategies. The TAP is also expected to work with faculty on retention issues, which could include coordination of graduate teaching assistant sections.
