THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH seeks to fill two positions in Analytical and/or Physical Chemistry effective September 2023, pending budgetary approval. One position is at the rank of Assistant Professor while the other is open with respect to rank. Researchers working in spectroscopy are especially encouraged to apply. Review of applications will begin on October 15, 2022 and will continue until the positions are filled. Minimum requirements for an Assistant Professor are a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field, a record of research excellence as evidenced by papers in premier academic journals and a promising research plan, and a potential for teaching excellence. Moreover, postdoctoral experience is preferred. For a senior hire the minimum requirements include a documented track record in research accomplishments, graduate student mentoring, and funding.
