The Department of Chemistry at the University of South Florida is searching for three new tenured/tenure-track faculty positions in our department.

1). Applicants are sought for an Assistant Professor position who will establish a research program in biophysical chemistry, physical chemistry or inorganic chemistry (Position # 31234). Further details about the position and applications materials can be found at this link.

 

2). Applicants are sought for an Assistant Professor position who will establish a research program in organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, or biochemistry (Position # 31687). Further details about the position and applications materials can be found at this link.

 

3). Applicants are sought for a faculty position at the senior level (commensurate with experience) with research expertise in any area of chemistry that enhances or complements existing research strengths at USF, and who will additionally take on the role of Associate Chair of Chemistry for the St. Petersburg campus to lead the new undergraduate major in Environmental Chemistry (Position # 31276). Each of these positions would be nine month faculty appointments to begin August, 2023, offering competitive salaries and start up packages.

The Department of Chemistry is a cornerstone of the College of Arts and Sciences, spanning three campuses. It is one of the largest academic units within the University. The Department has 56 faculty and 4 core facility managers and serves more than 3,500 undergraduate majors and approximately 120 graduate students. Research strengths include the areas of materials and catalysis, medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, computational chemistry, and chemical education.
