Job Details
One NIH funded postdoctoral position is opened in the Statsyuk research laboratory at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences. We are looking for highly motivated, self-driven, and independent postdoctoral fellows, who are willing to learn new interdisciplinary techniques and apply their scientific knowledge to develop covalent drugs. Our research group is highly interdisciplinary and collaborative, and employs such techniques as synthetic chemistry, biochemistry, protein chemistry, mammalian cell culture, masspectrometry, Cryo-EM, and protein crystallography. Ideal candidates should have chemical biology training, and be familiar with organic synthesis, recombinant protein purification, enzymology, PCR, high-throughput screening, biophysical techniques, and cell culture.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. degree in chemistry or chemical biology.
