Samford University’s Howard College of Arts and Sciences invites individuals interested in serving in a Christian university environment to apply for an assistant professor position (chemical education) in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, beginning August 2023.
This tenure-track, full-time faculty position is a 9-month appointment.

Qualified candidates will hold a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from an accredited institution. Postdoctoral research and/or teaching experience is desirable. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in general chemistry, with additional duties in chemistry for nursing and health sciences. The successful applicant will be expected to develop an active research program in chemical education (broadly defined) involving students.  Start-up funds are available along with support for summer research students. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in various service activities in the department, college and larger university community.
