Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security. We are seeking a candidate for a Quantum Imaging Postdoctoral position to work with the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies to complete experimental studies in optics, biological and nanomaterial sample preparation, as well as provide instrument design, component integration and data analysis support. Project work will also involve the application of entangled photon sources towards imaging applications and microscopy to study biological processes in plants and single cells.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or closely related field
• Experience in optics, hardware integration, and data analysis
• Demonstrated record of scientific achievement through publications and presentations
• Experience with a variety of microscopy techniques and entangled photon sources preferred
• Experience using Python/C/Matlab preferred
