Job Details

Position: The Department of Chemistry at Northern Michigan University is seeking an individual specializing in Inorganic Chemistry to fill a campus-based, tenure track position starting in the Fall of 2023. Teaching assignments will include a sophomore level course (Chemistry of the Elements) and a senior level course (Inorganic Chemistry) in addition to other courses dependent on Departmental needs and the candidate’s expertise. It is expected that the successful candidate will establish a research program that actively involves undergraduate students, and they will also contribute to Departmental and University service activities.


The Department of Chemistry has 20 full-time faculty and offers undergraduate degrees in ACS-certified chemistry, biochemistry, forensic biochemistry, and medicinal plant chemistry.
