The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (http://www.chem.sc.edu/) in the College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR position (9-month) in ANALYTICAL Chemistry to begin on August 16, 2023.  All areas of Analytical Chemistry expertise are of interest, including (but not limited to) bioanalytical, electrochemical, environmental, forensics, materials characterization, remote/non-contact sensing, instrument development, chemometrics, spectroscopy, and planetary science.  Candidates are expected to establish a vigorous, externally supported research program and have a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or closely related field by the start date of employment.
