Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor in Chemical and Biological Engineering

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University (http://www.chbe.northwestern.edu) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the level of assistant or associate professor. Candidates must have received a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a related discipline, demonstrate excellence in research, show a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and provide evidence of past contributions and/or plans to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

This search is focused on computational research in chemical & biological engineering, broadly defined, including, but not limited to, molecular-level modeling of materials, process systems modeling, or synthetic and systems biology. Candidates who can leverage Northwestern’s strengths in synthetic biology, data science, AI, materials research, energy and sustainability, and/or catalysis are particularly encouraged to apply. Application packages for the associate professor level will be evaluated based on demonstrated leadership in research, including an excellent publication track record, with plans for sustained impact in future research in the directions indicated above; an excellent teaching and mentoring track record; and evidence of past contributions and/or plans to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
