Loyola is a highly diverse, primarily undergraduate Jesuit university in New Orleans, with strong ties to the local community. Our ACS-approved department is small and collaborative, and has recently-renovated teaching and research facilities with modern instrumentation and resources. Faculty in our department are passionate about working closely with undergraduates in the classroom and the laboratory, and stipends supporting student research are available at the department and university levels. Tenure track faculty typically teach three lab or lecture classes per semester and receive start-up funding and dedicated independent laboratory space to establish an undergraduate research program. External funding is encouraged but not required. Loyola is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
