Job Details
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Auburn university invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Biological Chemistry. Candidates in all areas of biological chemistry are encouraged to apply. Biochemistry, chemical biology, natural product biosynthesis, multi-omics, structural biology, bioanalytical chemistry, and computational biochemistry are areas that align well with departmental strengths and ambitions. The successful candidate is expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program. Duties also include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Thus, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required. A Ph.D in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field and at least one year of postdoctoral experience are required at the time employment begins. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States at the time employee begins and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
