The UA Little Rock Chemistry Program invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Biochemistry. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock, School of Physical Sciences, Chemistry Program is dedicated to high-quality education at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate is expected to establish and maintain a strong research program in biochemistry in experimental or theoretical areas. Currently, the program has GC/MS, LC/MS, NMR, ESR, and other standard spectroscopic instrumentation available along with gel electrophoresis and separations equipment. UA Little Rock also has high-level computational and visualization capabilities for candidates wishing to pursue theoretical and experimental research. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Required Education and Experience: Ph.D. in Chemistry (preferably in Biochemistry). All Ph.D. requirements must be completed before employment commences.

Preferred Education and Experience: Candidates with postdoctoral research experience will be given preference; Experience in teaching biochemistry and laboratory at the undergraduate level and graduate level is preferred.
