The Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute (RASEI) is a joint institute between CU Boulder and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) addressing important and complex problems in energy and sustainability that often require multidisciplinary or multi-institutional approaches. In cooperation with the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, RASEI seeks to fill one tenure-track faculty position. It is anticipated that the candidate will be hired at the assistant professor level, however, exceptional applicants at the associate or full professor levels will also be considered. Candidates with interests in clean energy sciences, technology, sustainability, economics, and policy. Examples include: i) energy policy; ii) energy justice; iii) bioenergy; iv) renewable energy generation, storage and electrical grid integration; v) renewable hydrogen; vi) CO2 capture and utilization, vii) polymer recycling/upcycling or viii) other R&D areas important for sustainable energy solutions are invited to apply. Academic and tenure homes will be arranged within appropriate departments of the College of Arts and Sciences and/or the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, as best serves RASEI’s R&D missions and the specific interests of the successful candidate.

Full consideration if received before Dec. 1st and will continue until the available position is filled. Applications must be submitted electronically at https://www.cu.edu/cu-careers. The University of Colorado Boulder conducts background checks for all final applicants being considered for employment.
