Job Details

The Department of Chemistry at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor (TAP) in Organic Chemistry to begin August 2023. Candidates are expected to teach CHEM 3112 (Organic Chemistry Laboratory, for majors) and CHEM 3012 (Survey of Organic Chemistry Laboratory, for non-majors) with current enrollment of ~800 students/year across both courses. Additionally, once per year the candidate is expected to teach CHEM 3013 (Survey of Organic Chemistry for non-majors, ~210 students). The department seeks candidates who will implement innovative teaching strategies in both lab and lecture courses, aid with assessment, support the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds, integrate multicultural experiences into instructional methods, and demonstrate a commitment to engaging communities underrepresented in academia.
