Biological Engineering: The Department of Biochemistry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Albert Einstein Cancer Center invite applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the broadly defined area of Biological Engineering. We seek creative applicants with bold vision and demonstrated excellence in research at the interface of Materials Science, Physics and Medicine, who bring their expertise to important problems in basic and translational sciences, including synthetic biology, novel therapeutic delivery systems, diagnostics and systems-based approaches for mechanistic analyses of physiology, pathology and pharmacological interventions. We offer an exciting and collaborative academic work environment that includes diverse faculty with research interests spanning chemical biology, mechanistic enzymology, cancer biology, structural biology, pharmacology, cell biology, biochemistry, along with strong ties to clinical departments at Montefiore Medical Center. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $150,000.
Successful candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D., Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Physics or related academic disciplines.
