The Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy invites applications for a

Full Professorship (W3) of Solid-State Chemistry and Inorganic Materials (Chair)

commencing as soon as possible.

The professorship is expected to strengthen the field of Inorganic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and especially the solid-state and materials chemistry. Possible focuses include, but are not limited to, energy materials, topological and quantum matter as well as solid interfaces to biological systems. It is expected that the newly appointed professor will actively strengthen the cluster of excellence e-conversion as well as other collaborative research efforts of the Department of Chemistry, and will initiate new joint projects (e.g. collaborative research center). Additional expertise in X-ray diffraction and the ability to manage the X-ray facility of the department are welcome, as is experience in solid-state NMR-spectroscopy.

Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program. The appointed professor teaches the field of Inorganic Chemistry in its entire broadness.
