Job Details
Position: This position is a unique full-time, three-year term, 12 month faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a primary focus on overseeing the performance and maintenance of various analytical instrumentation and teaching of related laboratory courses. Typical duties would include 75% instrument maintenance and 25% teaching during the regular academic year and 100% instrument maintenance during the summer. This is a campus-based position. The Department of Chemistry has nineteen full-time faculty and offers undergraduate degrees in ACS-certified chemistry, biochemistry, forensic biochemistry, and medicinal plant chemistry. The department has a proud history of hands-on undergraduate analytical chemistry education and boasts a substantial suite of instrumentation for a university of our size, including three LC-MS/MS, three GC-MS, four GC-FID, three LC-PDA, and three ICP-MS instruments used by students in the senior-level courses along with faculty and student researchers.
