Job Details

The Department of Chemistry at Mount Holyoke College invites applications for a full-time Visiting
Lecturer position in Chemistry beginning July 1, 2023, for Fall 2023 in a two-year appointment. Applicants
should have a broad background in chemistry and strong teaching, writing, and interpersonal skills. Ideal
candidates will be prepared to teach lecture and laboratory sections of courses that emphasize skills in
chemical measurement and data analysis, including analytical chemistry. Candidates may also be
involved in other areas of the curriculum, including introductory chemistry and upper-level courses in their
field of expertise.  

The successful applicant will have a strong background in chemistry and experience in teaching and mentoring undergraduates who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent degree by the time of appointment, but candidates who are ABD will be considered.
