Visiting Assistant Professor of Biochemistry The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) invites applications for a one-year, visiting faculty position in biochemistry. Successful applicants must have a PhD in biochemistry or a closely related field by the start date (August 15, 2023).  Postdoctoral experience is preferred. Teaching responsibilities will be as follows: Fall 2023: Biochemistry 1 (CHEM 414) and an associated lab section, Chemistry for Nursing Majors (General, Organic and Biological chemistry) (CHEM 110) and an associated lab section. Spring 2024: Survey of Biochemistry (CHEM 317), Biochemistry 2 (CHEM 415) and two sections of general chemistry lab sections.

Although visiting faculty are not expected to do research, it is supported and the position includes laboratory space for research and modest support for chemicals.
