Job Details
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Crop Protection and Quality Research Unit at the San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Research Center is seeking researchers:
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (Residue Chemist) for a ONE YEAR APPOINTMENT not to exceed four consecutive years. Ph.D. is required. GS-11/12 salary is commensurate with experience ($ 69,107 - $107,680 per annum) plus benefits. The incumbent will conduct research related to the fate, transport, and biological consequence of chemicals used in agriculture, including pesticides and natural products, with particular emphasis on foodstuff residues. Experience with standard techniques of sample preparation as well as gas- and liquid-chromatography with mass spectrometry is required. Experience with VOCs and/or inorganics is desired.
