Duties and Responsibilities Organic Chemistry, Assistant Professor: Tenure Track, 1.0 FTE, Appointment in the Department of Biological and Physical Sciences, Fall 2023. Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (ABD will be considered, but dissertation must be completed within 18 months per collective bargaining agreement). Appointment will be within the College of Health Professions and Science https://www.msubillings.edu/chps/ and housed within our newly renovated state-of- the-art facility. Instructional duties include teaching Organic Chemistry, Advanced Organic Chemistry, Elements of Organic Chemistry, Intro to General Chemistry, and other courses as needs dictate. Establishment of a discipline-related research program involving undergraduates is expected. Evidence of high quality, innovative college teaching experience and potential for productive, externally-funded research in an undergraduate, liberal arts setting are required. The successful candidate is expected to share the University commitment to outcomes assessment, continuous quality improvement and ongoing development of the university.

MSU-Billings include healthcare related degree programs that span areas from careers with direct patient contact (such as Nursing, Athletic Training, Clinical and Mental Health Counseling, Paramedic, Radiology and Ultrasound Technology) to the Allied Health professions (such as Health Administration, Medical Coding and Billing, and Medical Laboratory Sciences. We also offer degrees in Biology, Chemistry and Health and Human Performance that prepare students to continue their education in Medicine, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant Studies, Dentistry, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.
