The Carlson School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Clark University invites applications for a one-year, full-time visiting faculty position (open rank) to oversee Introductory Chemistry laboratory sections and teach a non-majors science course for the academic year of 2023-2024, starting in August 2023. We seek a passionate educator who will be responsible for managing the laboratory sections, supervising the graduate TAs, and presenting pre-lab lectures.

A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field by the date of appointment is required. Teaching experience in Introductory and/or Organic chemistry laboratories is a plus. Those interested in developing their careers as chemistry educators are encouraged to apply. Mentoring opportunities for the candidate in undergraduate teaching and research will be integrated with this position.
