Company

Department of Chemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno. We are a teaching- and research-oriented department offering degrees in Chemistry (B.S., M.S., Ph.D.), Environmental Chemistry (B.S.), and Chemical Physics (Ph.D., jointly with the Physics Department), including bachelor’s degree programs certified by the American Chemical Society. As a relatively small department, we are able to provide close interactions among students and faculty. Many of our undergraduates and all of our graduate students participate in state-of-the-art chemistry research, working with a faculty mentor. Our graduates go on to employment in academia, industry, and government; many of our Bachelor’s degree graduates are admitted to high-ranked graduate chemistry programs, medical, or dental schools. In the most recent National Resource Council survey of chemistry departments, our department was ranked second nationally among departments of our size or smaller.
