The Post-Doctoral Fellow will be responsible for synthesis, development, and evaluation of small molecule dyes (organic synthesis), peptide-based contrast agents, and/or nanomaterials (polymer and silica nanoparticles) to target the tumor microenvironment (breast, pancreatic, ovarian, and colon tumors).

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will work with existing laboratory members in the development small molecule dyes, peptide-based contrast agents, and/or nanoparticles for drug delivery with applications in cancer and inflammation.  The Post Doc Fellow will work within our multi-disciplinary team to evaluate contrast agent specificity, toxicity, drug/dye release from nanoparticles, or efficacy using both in vitro and in vivo experimentation in murine, swine, and human of solid tumors. The Post Doc will have the opportunity to learn about writing and submitting their own independent federal grants (USA). Other responsibilities will include communicating results to the scientific community through publications and presentations, and supervising graduate students, clinical residents, and laboratory technicians.
