The Department of Chemistry (www.bu.edu/chemistry) at Boston University invites applications for full-time teaching and research Postdoctoral Associate Lecturer (PAL) openings as early as August 1, 2023 and no later than September 1, 2023. This innovative program (https://www.bu.edu/chemistry/people/postdoctoral-faculty-fellows/), formerly the Postdoctoral Faculty Fellow (PFF) program, is designed for recent Ph.D. recipients planning to pursue teaching-focused academic careers. Of particular interest are candidates capable of supporting the teaching of Organic Chemistry or Analytical and Physical Chemistry. Initial appointments are full-time for one year and are renewable based on satisfactory performance. The duties of the appointment are divided roughly equally between teaching and research. The teaching component will involve guided experiences in teaching undergraduate courses with opportunities to develop new curricula and implement innovative teaching methodologies. Research is conducted in affiliation with a faculty research group.
