The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank for Fall 2024. Candidates with research interests in all areas of chemistry or biochemistry are encouraged to apply. The applicants must have: a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a closely related field; relevant postdoctoral or equivalent research experience; a strong publication record; potential to establish an externally funded, nationally recognized research program; and the ability to teach chemistry or biochemistry courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Candidates should also have research expertise that complements the department and be able to effectively mentor chemistry or biochemistry undergraduate and graduate students. Faculty with applicable research interests will have access to doctoral students within Texas State’s interdisciplinary Materials Science, Engineering and Commercialization program.
