Job Details

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for one tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in all areas of chemistry, subject to available funding. Exceptionally qualified senior applicants will also be considered for Associate/Full Professor positions. We are interested in candidates who will contribute to higher education through teaching, research, and service.

 

The Department of Chemistry's mission is to create new chemical knowledge while providing all of our students with an innovative and forward-looking scientific education grounded in the fundamentals of chemistry. The department and University have state-of-the-art core facilities. Chemistry is ranked 16th best graduate program in the United States by US News and World Report (2023 ed.).

 

Qualifications

 

PhD in chemistry or closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the core undergraduate and graduate teaching missions of the department, and to engage in departmental, institutional and professional service activities.
