Energy-Related Areas in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

 

The William G. Lowrie Department of CHEMICAL & BIOMOLECULAR ENGINEERING at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio invites applications for a faculty position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR rank to join a collegial group of 31 faculty.

 

Position Overview: The position is targeted towards applicants from energy-related fields including advanced materials, separations, reaction engineering, and catalytic or non-catalytic processes that are associated with but not limited to photo-, electro-, and/or thermo-chemical systems, as well as sustainability, green chemistry, process control, modelling, machine learning, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline. Potential for developing a national and/or international reputation in their specialized area of research, as well as excellence in teaching of undergraduate and graduate students.  

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Potential for promoting diversity and inclusion in all areas of scholarship, instruction, and outreach.

Lowrie Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is home to 31 faculty with research emphases in bioengineering, reaction engineering and catalysis, separations, systems engineering, multiphase flows, colloids, molecular thermodynamics, polymers, nanomaterials, sustainability and the environment. We are housed in a state-of-the-art 225,000 ft2 building dedicated to Chemical Engineering and the Chemical Sciences.
