Job Details
The Department of Chemistry of the University of Wisconsin-Madison is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position, beginning August 2024. While preference will be given to applicants at the Assistant Professor level, applicants for Associate Professor will also be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vibrant research program in their area of specialization, teach chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, perform professional and university service as appropriate, and work with other department members to accomplish diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is required. Area of specialization within chemistry is open. Candidates for the Assistant Professor title should have the potential to develop a vibrant research program in their field of specialization. Tenured candidates must have demonstrated excellence in scholarly research, teaching, and service which meet the requirements for associate professor with tenure as determined by the Physical Sciences Divisional Committee. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with fostering or the ability to foster an inclusive and equity-centered teaching, learning, departmental, and research environment where all can thrive.
