The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at North Carolina Central University invites applications for a 9-month faculty position at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor.  The appointment will be in the broadly defined area of Synthetic Organic Chemistry. This is an EPA position that includes expectations of excellence in teaching organic chemistry and/or courses in related areas to majors and non-majors, advising, and institutional service as well as the establishment of an externally funded research program that will involve undergraduate and masters’ level students.  Preferred qualifications include post-doctoral experience in synthetic organic chemistry or closely allied fields.  Applicants with interests which integrate with materials research are especially encouraged to apply.
